VISA
Most foreigners visiting Belarus need a visa.
Citizens of following countries DOES NOT need visa:
- Citizens of CIS countries (except Turkmenistan)
- Cuban citizens (for visits up to 30 days)
- The citizens of Serbia and Montenegro (for visits up to 30 days)
- Citizens of Mongolia
Also there are some exceptions for diplomatic passport holders from:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Chinese People's Republic
- Hungary
- India
- Iran
- Macedonia
- Romania
- Slovakia
- Turkmenistan
- Turkey
- Vietnam
All other foreigners need visas to visit Belarus.
Visas are issued by:
- consular offices in Belarus
- diplomatic missions in Belarus
- Consular Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Minsk airport (for citizens from countries where there are no representations of Belarus)
Documents required:
- completed application form for a visa
- 1 passport size photograph
- accompanying documents (the original letter of invitation signed and stamped by the inviting party in the event that invites company)
- other documents stipulated by the consular department (depending on the purpose of the visit and the type of visa required)
- passport (expiration date must be at least 90 days from the date of expiry of the visa)
Visas issued by the National Airport Minsk, cost double the usual rate.
CUSTOMS
It is allowded to take:
- alcohol (including beer containing 7% alcohol or more) - 3 liters (for every extra liter - 10 euro fee, maximum - 5 liters)
- Cigarettes - 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco or the said goods in the range of total weight not exceeding 250 grams
Import of foreign currency in Belarus is not limited.
It is strictly forbidden to carry:
- firearms
- munitions
- drugs
- Poisons
- radioactive and explosive materials
The importation of animals and plants in Belarus permitted only with adequate veterinary and medical evidence.

Exchange offices can be found in:

- airports
- railway stations
- bus stations
- on the main streets
- in banks
